Well, it’s been a while hasn’t it. What I hoped wouldn’t happen, happened. I didn’t post regular blog updates.
However, I’m determined to make all of that change. Starting from….NOW!
2016 has turned into one of the craziest years I’ve had with a lot of work and a substantial amount of traveling, some for business, some for pleasure.
I’ve been working hard on setting up and running my online shops such as society6, zippi, art rookie to name a few. These sites are where I sell my designs on a multitude of products (click ‘Shop’ in the menu to see more) I’ve done live drawing events, indulged myself in my Art Beneath Our Feet project and spent the last 5 weeks teaching English to German and Chinese children in West Germany.
I’ve finally made it back to Berlin (almost in one piece) and I’m ready to throw myself in to my creative projects again.
Starting with setting myself some strict rules for my blog. I want to take you through what my days look like as an artist living in Berlin and I aim to post a weekly update of what I got up to throughout the week.
I don’t know about you but when I follow other creatives of course first and foremost I’m attracted by their work, but I soon find myself seeking to find out more about their lives. What does their studio look like? What do THEY look like? Where are their favourite places to drink a coffee? Where are they going each day? What are they doing? This may come across with vibes of a stalker… but I think as human beings we are interested in one another and all of these components come together to create the person that creates the beautiful piece of work. So expect photos of my messy desk, my travels around the city, the weird and wonderful friends I’m hanging out with and the struggles and triumphs that come with creating art.
I look forward to having you along for the ride.
Expect the first post of ‘A Week In The Life Of Lucy’ on Sunday….there I’ve said it…it’s a date!
