About Me

I’m Lucy, a British artist living and working in Berlin Germany.

I guess you’re here to find out a bit more about me, so here’s some potentially relevant information –

I grew up in a small town in South West England
My Grandfather is German which is why I have the very German Surname ‘Schmidt’
I trained as a scenic artist at a theatre school in London and after graduation, I went on to start my own furniture painting business back in the English countryside.
Since moving to Berlin three years ago I have concentrated predominately on pencil drawings and more recently experimented with the mix of traditional pencil drawing and digital art.

And here’s some less relevant information about me –
I love to travel
I can speak German (badly)
I’m an avid people watcher
I pick up other people’s accents really easily
I can’t walk past a cute dog without making a weird squeaking noise (I really want a pet)
I’m addicted to looking for beautiful floors to photograph for my ‘Art Beneath Our Feet’ project
I get laughed at for how many photos of the sky I take (I’m a sucker for a pretty sky)
